THE LINDA LINDAS @ CENTER FOR THE ARTS EAGLE ROCK

Mila (9), Eloise (11), Lucia (13), and Bela (15) are the Linda Lindas. Last night the Linda Linda’s played their first show of the year to a hometown crowd at the Center for the Arts Eagle Rock as part of the NELA Music Series with opening support Naima Corea.
In just the past year the Linda Linda’s have opened for high profile acts like Bikini Kill for their reunion shows at the Palladium, Best Coast, Bleached, Alice Bag as well as performing at the Viva! Pomona music festival. They are also regulars at the all-ages Save the Music matinees in Chinatown performing alongside Los Angeles punk legends like the Dils, Alley Cats, The Gears and The Last.
They were supported by their fans in the community as well as local musicians Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno of Best Coast whose new album Always Tomorrow just dropped. Also in the audience offering support was Alice Bag among others.
Their set was quick, fast and filled with lots of energy as the members took turns switching instruments bouncing through the 9 song set which offered a glimpse into their inspirations. They smashed it with their debut first original song “Claudia Kishi” and ending with a dedication to the Muff’s Kim Shattuck with her closing track “Big Mouth.”
