“It’s so nice to be playing in LA. We live down the street!” said YACHT front woman Claire L. Evans as she took the stage at Highland Park’s Lodge Room on last night. The Portland-bred and LA-based electro-pop trio treated us to a major dance party backed by a setlist of tunes from their latest EP Strawberry Moon, as well as favorites from 2015’s I Thought The Future Would Be Cooler like “LA Plays Itself,” “I Wanna Fuck You Till I’m Dead,” and “Ringtone.”

Whether dancing with us on the floor or entrancing us with her microphone wire hypnotics, Evans had us all bewitched by her dynamic and engaging stage presence. YACHT concludes their week-long west coast tour with a final stop tonight in Phoenix.

LA’s own feminist art-punk quartet French Vanilla got the night started.
