The Wiltern was awash with oceans of light and shadows for a positively heavenly set by UK’s dream pop pioneers, Slowdive. The haunting combination of vocals by founding members Rachel Goswell and Neil Halstead floated throughout the fog and video projections on stage along with guitarist Christian Savill’s driving guitar. Seductively beautiful and ethereal, Slowdive’s passionate fans could barely contain their excitement when hearing such shoegazing classics like “Catch the Breeze” and “Alison” along with newer tracks off this year’s self-titled release like “Star Roving” and “Sugar for the Pill.”

L.A.’s own Cherry Glazerr was a rollicking good time ahead of Slowdive.
