New York’s alternative R&B duo Lion Babe was back in LA to steam up The Echoplex. Singer Jillian Hervey crawled onto the stage like a feline stalking its prey. Producer Lucas Goodman stood behind the band’s signature neon light display as he whipped out samples and beats to the songs off their debut album Begin that was released earlier this year. Between singing her sultry, lyrics Hervey mesmerized us with impressive dance moves including high kicks and tossing around her thick mane of hair. Songs off the set included the chill “Treat Me Like Fire” and infectious “Jump Hi.” Lion Babe also performed the latest single “Endless Summer” with its upbeat and festive vibe.

Hip-hop artist KAMAU dished out some poetic lyrics to start things off.
