Shoegaze quintet DIIV received a tremendous welcome back to Los Angeles where they played the first of three sold out shows at The Echo. The Brooklyn-based band enticed an enthusiastic crowd with a strong set filled with noteworthy dream-pop jams, as well as material from their newly released sophomore album, Is this Is Are.

DIIV delved into the night with an array of both old and new songs, such as “Bent,” “Under the Sun,” “Follow” and crowd favorite “How Long Have You Known?” Fans kept up the momentum of the evening as the group continued to play new tracks such as, “Dopamine,” “Healthy Moon” and a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone.”

The Paranoyds kicked off the night with a lively set, amping the crowd for a night of pure musical bliss followed by Los Angeles-based trio La Sera. The indie-rock band, fronted by bassist and vocalist Katy Goodman, performed several songs from their forthcoming album, Music for Listening to Music to, which is set for release March 4.
