Beats Antique brought their amazing world-inspired circus sideshow to the crowd of Club Nokia for a late night dance party. Starting off with a song that found lead dancer Zoe Jakes on a High Wheel Bicycle 10 feet in the air, the band blended a perfect combination of theatrics with their unique amalgamation of old world and new. The night continued as the band, featuring David Satori on a variety of instruments and Tommy “Sidecar” Cappel on drums as well as a woodwinds player, played songs in between full “performances” that featured Zoe and a number of dancers. The most memorable performance of the night came during “Doors of Destiny” where an audience member was brought on stage for a “game” that culminated with a giant inflated monster devouring all contestants. Check out their newest album Creature Carnival Live to get an idea of the incredible Beats Antique experience.

Iconic funk band Lettuce played a hearty set to pave the way for the rest of the evening. With over an hour of the band’s signature funk tunes, the crowd of Burning-Man-inspired kids danced the night away. Towards the end of their set, they were joined by vocalist Nigel Hall and paid tribute to the late great Maurice White with a cover of Earth, Wind and Fire’s “Gratitude.”
