A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS + SPINDRIFT + AUTHOR & PUNISHER + SISU @ THE VIPER ROOM

A lucky few rang in the New Years at The Viper Room as A Place to Bury Strangers were gracious enough to play two consecutive evenings at the intimate venue. Each night was different and both were loud – just the way we like it. On NYE, SPINDRIFT opened with their western psych sounds. Friday evening had the Mad Max of metal Author & Punisher and SISU open. APTBS always has great support bands.
The thunderous vibrations coming from Dion Lunadon’s bass had the floor feeling like it was about to rise. Soundmaster/guitarist/vocalist Oliver Ackermann commanded the cosmic ship with beautiful trips on “Drill it Up” “You Are the One.” On Friday, Lunadon played on a VIP table much to the delight of the patrons. It was light, it was dark, it was another great escape.
