THE MENZINGERS + LEMURIA + PUP + CAYETANA @ THE ROXY THEATRE

Ever wonder what the force of a room full of zealous fans feels like? If you were standing anywhere within the first ten feet in front of the stage at the Roxy on Saturday night, you wouldn’t be wondering anymore. From Pennsylvania, The Menzingers riled up what few post-hardcore era kids are left at the legendary venue. Rest assured, the madness was all in good fun both on and off the stage.
Also from way out East, trio Lemuria drew in quite a fanbase of their own, many lining the front of the stage singing along with the mighty Sheena Ozzella as bassist Max Gregor bounced back and forth on his toes and Alex Kerns did double duty on drums and vocals.
Self-proclaimed igloo dwellers, Pup, brought power chord heavy jams and a very typically Canadian “nice” vibe. Their performance came complete with a friend clad in a GoPro rigged helmet, who propelled himself over the audience to record his crowdsurfing excursion.
To open the night, Cayetana brought a treat to those who made the effort to show up early. Proving that an all-female garage punk group is no gimmick and instead blowing over every unexpecting audience member with their chops.
