VIDEO PREMIERE: SADGIRL “MISS ME”
L.A. trio SadGirl are on the cover of our summer issue and riding high on last month’s release of their full-length Water, out now on Suicide Squeeze. (Get it here!) One of the things they do best is (bitter)sweet slow-mo b-side ballads, and “Miss Me” is just that, swinging between regret and righteous revenge as our cast of not-quite-satisfied customers find out the disgusting difference between beverage 1 and beverage 2. (As you’d expect, cool pure Water is the good one.) They’re singing about a situation here that’s as old as humanity itself, and they’ve got a chorus for the ages, too: “Miss me … with that bullllllshit …” They’ll be playing at Echo Park Rising next month and then—after an Observatory show in Santa Ana in Sept.—they’ll be doing a giant tour with Tiger Army. Full dates and full credits for the video below!
