RECORD contributor and The Order Label founding partner DJ Nobody unrolls this barely legal video about marijuana and its bottomless goodness, starring The Order Label rapper Asad ILL and labelmate Noa James. “Good Marijuana” is one of thirteen tracks burned live to hard drive for the first Live From The Zoo mixtape, where The Order Label’s formidable roster of rappers lined up at Low End/Order Label co-founder Daddy Kev’s storied Cosmic Zoo studio to stress-test DJ Nobody’s hardest and haziest beats. On September 8, 2017, the new rap compilation Live From The Zoo will release on CD, cassette and all digital formats from the Los Angeles based The Order Label. Thirteen rap tracks recorded, mixed, and mastered at the fabled Cosmic Zoo Studio in LA, Live From The Zoo features an ensemble cast from the Alpha Pup Records rap-centric imprint.
Sahtyre, Asad Ill, The Holy Kush, Noa James, Hugh Augustine, Osbe Chill, and Eureka The Butcher throw down the new school Project Blowed for the smartphone generation. Raw and invigorating raps that opens a window into LA’s evolving hip-hop scene. Production is handled by Low End Theory co-founder DJ Nobody, who explores modern production techniques while testing our subwoofers. Live from the Zoo is The Order Label’s first compilation and future releases will be handled by a different producer per volume.
The Order Label was founded in 2015 by Self-Jupiter of Freestyle Fellowship, and Low End Theory’s Daddy Kev and DJ Nobody. The Cosmic Zoo recording facility opened its doors in the last quarter of 2012, capturing recording and engineering sessions over the years for Run The Jewels, Kendrick Lamar, Thundercat, Kamasi Washington, YG, Jeremih, Flying Lotus, Open Mike Eagle, Zach de la Rocha, Jeremiah Jae, Doseone, and many more.
