TRACK PREMIERE: JAMES V “LAVENDER”

August 29th, 2019 | Listen

Local pop exploder James V is back with new single “Lavender,” an uncharacteristically dreamy ballad from an outfit whose output (at least as heard on larecord.com!) tends toward the outre. But sometimes it’s nice to feel nice, and “Lavender” offers its own sensory deprivation tank: it’s warm, it’s weightless and it might even provoke some unexpected personal insight, as long as you’re able to tune out the rest of the world. “Lavender” was mixed by Sean Guerin of De Lux and and Sean Cook who produced French Vanilla‘s album—both bands if not names familiar to L.A. RECORD readers—and it’s available here. James will be doing a quickie southwest tour this weekend with Adult Beverage—featuring James V on guitar for this tour—and finishing with a homecoming show at the Hi Hat on Sun., Sept. 8. Full tour schedule below!
