Triptides’s brand new Visitors album is uniquely and impeccably arranged psychedelic pop (or deliriously poppy psychedelia?) that makes clear that cosmic link between the 60s and the 90s, like if the Pretty Things had been called in to help the Telescopes with their lovely self-titled album, or if the Zombies had risen anew on Creation Records, or if Olivia Tremor Control had been transported back to their perfect version of 1967. Visitors is dreamy, it’s fuzzy, it’s positively enlightening—sure, you could dance to it, or you could let it work its magic and just … float.
