SLEATER-KINNEY @ THE HOLLYWOOD PALLADIUM

November 20th, 2019

After four years, Sleater-Kinney was back to play the Hollywood Palladium with a new album The Center Won’t Hold, sans longtime drummer Janet Weiss, but with new drummer Angie Boylan, instrumentalists Katie Harkin and Toko Yasuda. Founding members Carrie Brownstein and Corin Tucker brought their riot grrrl energy, providing a full and more polished live sound and bigger stage production–but still the same raw energy and ferocity that we know and love from Sleater-Kinney. The show featured every track off their latest release, which was produced by friend of the band Annie Clark—aka St. Vincent. We were also treated to favorites like “Modern Girl,” “Jumpers,” “Dig Me Out,” and “One More Hour.” First generation Latina and Chicago born KAINA opened the show.
