VINTAGE TROUBLE + AUDRA MAE @ THE FONDA THEATRE
Vintage Trouble rocked the hell out of a packed Fonda Theatre Wednesday night. The band came out and force and never stopped. The crowd was a ton of fun and that just made the band work harder to keep things going. If you've ever seen them, you can understand why AC/DC brought these guys on tour with them. The local blues rock quartet's second studio album 1 Hopeful Rd. is out today. Audra Mae started the evening with a fantastic and powerful solo performance featuring a cover of Hozier's haunting tune "To Be Alone." By Debi Del Grande

JULIETTE AND THE LICKS + SWEETHEAD + ZIBBZ @ THE EL REY THEATRE
Juliette and The Licks are back and had such an unrelenting and intense energy on stage at the El Rey Theatre, that frontwoman Juliette Lewis injured her knee but soldiered on anyway and didn't let it slow her down one bit. Lewis gave everything she had to the crowd because that's the kind of dedicated person she is. By Debi Del Grande

REAL ESTATE + HIPPO CAMPUS @ SANTA MONICA PIER
Real Estate headlined the second week of this year's Twilight Concerts on the Santa Monica Pier. The band played a great set featuring songs off their 2014 release Atlas. As the band took the stage, you could tell they were in awe of the view. The huge crowd, the carnival rides and the smell of the salt water coupled with their mellow, dream pop sound made for a great soundtrack to a beautiful night by the ocean. Hippo Campus opened the night with some dance music as the sun set over the pier. By Debi Del Grande

COSMONAUTS + MORGAN DELT + DAHGA BLOOM + L.A. WITCH + JJUUJJUU @ THE ECHO
An epic night of music was happening at The Echo. Once you walked in, you quickly noticed two large neon palm trees that lit up the back of the stage and knew things were about to get trippy. By Debi Del Grande
