A love party planned for the most crooked hearts, headlined ever-so-fittingly by the Entrance Band, once lovingly described in CZ’s pure words as “nuked blues” and now forever followed by that fallout. But there’s only the most cheated love here—while the rest of the city chases a tighter style, singer/guitarist Guy Blakeslee and Entrance (bassist Paz Lenchantin and drummer Derek James) howl like they’re already years ahead, piecing together the most psychedelic sounds for the most gruesome tunes. Golden Animals (and L.A. RECORD X-Mas Party alums) open up with something like fuzzed up T. Rex demos and there’ll be poetry for all those who want to be set straight, too.

L.A. RECORD AND THE FOLD PRESENT THE ENTRANCE BAND WITH GOLDEN ANIMALS PLUS POETRY BY ERIC ERNEST JOHNSON AND LADY DIONYSUS AT THE SILVERLAKE LOUNGE, 2906 SUNSET BLVD., SILVERLAKE. 9 PM / $13 / 21+/ WWW.FOLDSILVERLAKE.COM.
