Can someone drive a stake through this band’s heart?!? They should be named “Fraternity House Weekend!” This is just a pile of indie, cutesy-wootsy, polka, electro, ska, contemporary “bat guana!” For some bizarre reason (and I guess to their credit), they fixate on a string section through the entire recording. A fine idea for a pathetic group of college kids! Dracula says: “This Sucks!” A real “Vampire Weekend” is myself and five nude, nubile vampyrettes raping my soul and sucking me dry! Whoa!! Get me a “Brawny!”
Hail Satan,
(Editors Note: Heru lives in a cave surrounded by his massive collection of vinyl he has been collecting since his days of working at Camel Records and Noise Noise Noise. He does not use the internet or read magazines and has no idea what other people are saying about the records we give him.)
