SUNDAY, DEC. 9

It was a beautiful Sunday morning. The sun was shining. The birds were singing. I promptly rolled out of bed and ‘Goose Stepped’ over to Adolf’s new summer retreat to hang out with Charlie. We were feelin’ a little bored, so we decided to watch a pathetically bland ‘cocaine’ film called Sno-Line!! That was all the motivation we needed! Next stop was the ‘American Apparel Holiday Sample Sale’ to meet our friends from Viva Internet Radio. We were invited to work the ‘Wheels Of Steel.’ They freaked when we actually brought LPs. It’s an iPod world!! Charlie tortured the crowd and I punished them as well! We saw the greatest display of MALE/FEMALE ‘Camel Toes’ you could ever imagine! Next we were off to Canter’s for the Pastrami on Rye. We then stumbled into Family where I was introduced to David Scott Stone. He was sitting behind his Mini-Moog and hand built Modular rack. His partner in crime also performs with a friend of mine who is known as Professor Cantaloupe. He was tweeking on circuit boards! I was pleasantly surprised at the authentic environmental sounds they were producing. It was very minimal and reminded me of Ariel Kalma and early Cluster with a touch of Morton Subotnick. I grilled him a little on his influences, but he was sincere when he told me he was pretty unfamiliar with ‘60s and ‘70s experimental electronics. I didn’t yell. I just told him to keep up the good work!! Hail Satan. (HERU
