Peaches’ albums benefit from their confrontational approach and aura of danger. The Wiltern seemed to be too large of a venue for the intensity to translate; only Brian Lichtenberg’s radical costumes packed a punch. It made me wish we were in a smaller space with the band right in the audience’s face.

Ben Harper and Relentless 7 performed to a very sold out and amped crowd at the Wiltern on Thursday, May 28. With his new band Relentless 7, Harper has moved away slightly from his roots towards a louder, more rock-n-roll sound. Opening for Ben Harper were Los Angeles darlings The Henry Clay People.
