Middle Class is Mike Atta, Jeff Atta, Matt Simon and Mike Patton (no, not that Mike Patton). Depending on who you ask, you might be told they are the first ever hardcore band, or you might get kicked in the gut with a pre-scuffed Urban Outfitters combat boot. TARGET VIDEO: LIKE WATCHING SOMETHING BIBLICAL

Joe Rees’ Target Video filmed just about every punk band that pushed through San Francisco as the ’70s turned into the ’80s, including such ultimate artifacts as the Cramps live at the Napa State mental hospital and Crime live at San Quentin.
