THE MONOLATORS RECORD RELEASE SHOW @ PEHRSPACE
November 16th, 2010 · 1 Comment
Eli Chartkoff likes to run around, jump off amps, kick drums, and leap into the crowd. When that happens, his guitar or mic usually gets unplugged and everyone else in the band keeps it going until Eli gets back in there. Complimenting each other really well, along with great songwriting, the Monolators are ready to take the world by storm.

KYLE MABSON'S BIRTHDAY @ PEHRSPACE
February 5th, 2010 · No Comments
On Monday, Sean hosted a birthday rager for Kyle Mabson, his roommate and the official party engine of Pehrspace. A double-sized crowd appeared to celebrate Kyle’s special day and check out a solid-from-top-to-bottom lineup of performers that was headlined by Abe Vigoda. Sure, there were still people in the parking lot—but that’s only because the venue was too sweaty and insane for their sensibilities.

60 WATT KID @ WOMEN

Cutting the set much too short, they wrapped up with their Willy Alexander-esque “American Standard,” an against-type rockabilly tune, wherein Litrow meandered through the audience shouting things at people. They plunked the last few echoey notes, and sadly, the hip-hop CD started its thing once more. As the audience made its way to the lawn, I caught one young man with a Misfits tattoo on his neck tell his girlfriend “These guys were siiiiick!”
SEAN CARNAGE: NOISY AND GAY RIGHT FROM THE START
July 5th, 2009 · 19 Comments
Sean Carnage has done so much for L.A. music that there had to be a movie made to help document it. He’ll be celebrating four years of DIY shows (across six venues!) all this month at Women during his traditional Monday night residencies, and he’ll have the official Sean Carnage birthdayversary spectacular on July 27. This interview by Drew Denny.
