Old Californio play the type of alt.-country that can be found on Uncle Tupelo and early Wilco records, but with a bit of a “summer of love” vibe. Their vocals and vocal-harmonies are pretty and they can really pick and play their instruments. The majority of this record is about life in the San Gabriels, pickin’ and singin’ on the front porch with wine and being a happy hippie in the sunshine.
