We partnered with dublab to curate the Brooks Ave. stage with a 100% dublab/L.A. RECORD all-star alumni line-up: John Carpenter, Farmer Dave Scher, Puro Instinct, Crystal Antlers, Abe Vigoda, and Dam-Funk & Master Blazter, with DJs Chris Ziegler and Dan Collins (L.A. Wavves – photography by Zane Roessell On August 13, Wavves played at Pomona’s Glass House. Sensing the “Friday the Thirteenth” spirit in the air Nathan Williams and company played a rowdy set, replete with crowd surfing and stage diving. Wavves’ signature surf goth sound had the crowd surging against the barricades like a roiling tempest.

On Monday, Sean hosted a birthday rager for Kyle Mabson, his roommate and the official party engine of Pehrspace. A double-sized crowd appeared to celebrate Kyle’s special day and check out a solid-from-top-to-bottom lineup of performers that was headlined by Abe Vigoda. Sure, there were still people in the parking lot—but that’s only because the venue was too sweaty and insane for their sensibilities.
