Every year, some of the most fantastic music journalism printed in the whole world (as long as it’s in English) lands in the Best Music Writing series anthologies. Traditionally, these had been printed by Da Capo Press, but now that the print industry is struggling (hey, what’s not?), series editor Daphne Carr and her team need our financial help as they attempt to launch their first self-published copy of the anthology.

Currently the series only has 9 days left in their Kickstarter campaign, and they have only about 1/3 of the $15,000 they need to self-publish! Please, visit their Kickstarter page and, if you’ve ever read their anthology or just want to read this year’s copy, contribute something. Most donations will get you a copy of the book itself–even a tiny donation can land it into your Kindle–so check it out.

Oh, and after you’re done, feel free to nominate one of the many great articles you’ve read here towards this year’s book (the page may not allow you to “submit” in some browsers–see how much they need our money?). If you’ve been a writer or had your band featured in our magazine or our website, it’s all fair game, so submit as many great pieces of music writing as you like.
