A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS + SEXTILE + PRETTIEST EYES @ THE REGENT

It was one solid lineup Saturday evening as A Place to Bury Strangers, SEXTILE and Prettiest Eyes took over the Regent Theatre. It's not often that you see a live set in which the guitarist breaks the guitar during the opening track. But this is A Place To Bury Strangers and they are a band that breaks guitars, walls and the rules when it comes to live shows.

BRONCHO was back in town to play an intimate gig at the Moroccan Lounge with special guest Howlin' Rain who was celebrating the release of new album The Alligator Bride. A last minute add to the lineup was local-on-the-rise The Paranoyds who had been on tour with BRONCHO.

Although many seemed ready to mosh at the Teragram as they would have done at previous King Tuff shows, they quickly realized this was going to be a tad different and driving along with King Tuff in his 1982 Blue Subaru Brat would be a new ride on a smoother road that led to joy.

You’re all in the matrix now,” he added jokingly.
