Beginning solo with the brand new song, “Fools Gold,” the gentle and delicate vocals of Lucy Dacus took immediate hold of the sold out crowd at Teragram Ballroom.

Touring in support of last year’s release Historian, as well as a new EP, Dacus delivered a solid set for fans, who sang along to her lyrical confessions.

The evening also included several covers, with Lucy Dacus encouraging a “group karaoke” session for Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing in the Dark” and an appropriately spooky version of the Phil Collins classic, “In the Air Tonight.”

Austin-based group Sun June started the night with haunting “slow jams,” while singer-songwriter Liza Anne brought forth her joyously haughty lyrics and confidence to the stage.
