The Twilight Sad @ The Troubadour

Photos by Debi Del Grande

Although their latest effort It Won’t Be Like This All The Time doesn’t arrive until January 2019 on Mogwai’s Rock Action label, Scottish post-punk/indie rockers The Twilight Sad gave us a tiny glimpse of what’s to come last night at The Troubadour, including released track “I/m Not Here [Missing Face]” and soon to be released “Videograms.” We last saw the band open for The Cure in 2016 when they acquired a number of fans who were in attendance last evening. Keeping their promise, they dedicated Frightened Rabbit’s “Keep Yourself Warm” to their friend Scott as the final song with the crowd singing along. The set was way too short and they could have easily played longer, giving us a little hope they might return next year.
