You have probably heard by now that the remaining members of Nirvana–Dave Grohl (on drums), Krist Novoselic (on bass) and Pat Smear (on guitar) played a few Nirvana songs to wrap up another incredible Cal Jam. Sharing vocal duties were Joan Jett and John McCauley of Deer Tick who played earlier. Novoselic also played earlier with his band Giants in the Trees and Grohl as a guest on drums. The Foo Fighters preceded with a set of hits in reverse chronological order. Punk icon Iggy Pop with Post Pop Depression, Tenacious D, Greta Van Fleet, METZ, Black Mountain and many more rocked the mountains of San Bernardino. Unlike last year’s scorching temperatures, the weather was cloudy and much cooler.

In addition to the music, carnival rides were scattered around the grounds and the museum housing Foo Fighters artifacts was open to fans.

Nirvana setlist:
Serve the Servants (with John J. McCauley on vocals)
Scentless Apprentice (with John J. McCauley on vocals)
In Bloom (with John J. McCauley on vocals)
Breed (with Joan Jett)
Smells Like Teen Spirit (with Joan Jett)
All Apologies (with Joan Jett) (with Brody Dalle on bass, Krist on accordion)
