KING TUFF + CUT WORMS + SASAMI @ THE TERAGRAM BALLROOM

King Tuff @ The Teragram Ballroom

Certain musicians (Ty Segall, Mikal Cronin, and John Dwyer to name a few) will explore and nurture other areas of their talent and produce new music for us to get excited about. This is what Kyle Thomas, better known as the mighty King Tuff has done with his latest creation The Other. Although many seemed ready to mosh at the Teragram as they would have done at previous King Tuff shows, they quickly realized this was going to be a tad different and driving along with King Tuff in his 1982 Blue Subaru Brat would be a new ride on a smoother road that led to joy.

King Tuff has new band members, including opener multi-talented SASAMI who started the evening singing about sad fucks and we quickly became her bitches. Immediately following, was Max Clarke’s Cut Worms playing new tunes from his debut album Hollow Ground.

Psycho Star LYRICS
Lookin’ out my window, there’s no doubt about it
We don’t belong in this world, be better off without us
Madness and destruction, maybe that is all that we are
The universe is mostly made of nothing, isn’t it so beautifully bizarre
That here we are…

Watching the wind blow, watching the wind blow
Watching the rain so hard
Watching the fire, gettin’ higher
On this strange little star

We were always dreamin’ of castles in the sky
Dreamin’ of another planet, how could we be so blind
Chaos and confusion, maybe that is all that we are
The universe is probably an illusion, but isn’t it so beautifully bizarre That here we are…
Watching the wind blow, watching the wind blow
Watching the rain so hard
Watching the fire, gettin’ higher
On this strange little star
