Anyone travel far for the show?” inquired Turnover’s Austin Getz midway through a packed Fonda Theatre.

Los Angeles is a long ways from Turnover’s hometown of Virginia Beach, and many fans journeyed considerable distances to hear the band’s dreamy, indie stylings.

The evening was enhanced with a psychedelic liquid light show and an impressive backdrop of television sets flickering the name of Turnover’s latest album, Good Nature, of which a majority of the night’s setlist was drawn from.

Ultimately, the lyrics of songs such as “Dizzy on the Comedown” and “Like Slow Disappearing” are Turnover’s biggest draw. It strikes a chord so deep with fans who can’t help but passionately sing along with every wistful, bittersweet word.

Summer Salt seamlessly debuted a new member live for the first time during the band’s shimmery, indie pop set. Mannequin Pussy simply annihilated the stage, playing as hard, fast, and loud as possible.
