Los Angeles was treated to a touch of Australiana with the coming of Aussie native Hockey Dad at the Bootleg Theatre. The band must have felt like they were at home, with the crowd enthusiastically exhibiting such Aussie traditions as drinking their beer out of a shoe, commonly known as a Shoey.

The High Curbs started things off with an energetic set featuring an old man mask that made its way around the band. Local faves Jurassic Shark followed with a cool and moody set, positioning the mood for Hockey Dad. The duo finished the last show of their tour with an exhilerating and energetic set that showed how they do things down under.

With a mix of old and new material, to which they said to expect a new LP in February, and even a nod to fellow countrymen The Murlocs for an encore, the band kept the crowd moving. Catchy, fun, loud and fast were the recipe for a short period of time that had everyone at full throttle.
