It felt like a Mad Max kind of evening at The Teragram Ballroom as Gary Numan and his cohorts took the stage, not adorned in traditional black, but acknowledging his latest endeavor Savage: Songs From a Broken World in desert sand attire, where we appear to be taken to a dehumanized world and our only hope is Numan’s music. One fan needed it in order to get back up from the floor when Numan had to stop the show for a brief moment. The new music blends extremely well with the classics. “My Name is Ruin” featured Numan’s daughter Persia singing backing vocals. This was the fourth sold out evening in Southern California to the start of what’s to be a productive tour through North America.

Los Angeles’ Nightmare Air opened the show with new songs from the trio’s upcoming album. The rocking trio also has a song on Rock Band so you can practice your shredding before the next gig. Supporting the tour is New York band Me Not You
