ARIEL PINK + GARY WILSON AND THE BLIND DATES @ THE REGENT

Ariel Pink, the mad scientist master of psychedelic pop, wore plaid and sang his heart at his hometown sold-out show at The Regent, bringing with him an arsenal of songs from his lengthy catalog as a solo artist and as Haunted Graffiti, mostly in support of his latest record, Dedicated To Bobby Jameson. The stage was candle lit and gothic in scheme with a makeshift suitcase memorial of the album title’s man – a quirk as should be expected of Ariel Pink, who made the evening a breakneck rendezvous between the weird and wild. Tune after tune, whistle after wail, Ariel, along with his impressive musicians and hype men that preceded him, made the night really “feel like heaven.”
Creative and innovate Gary Wilson and the Blind Dates opened.
