Party messiah Andrew W.K. was in town at The Regent with support from Easy (Josh Landau of The Shrine’s band) and Prima Donna in tow. Before doors, fans were lined up in droves clad in W.K.s signature white and bloody nose look, ready to scream along. Easy and Prima Donna both displayed some impressive musicianship, both busting into frequent guitar solos and singing about that most frequent subject of rock n’ roll songs.

When the man himself finally appeared flanked by a full band, the crowd went into a complete frenzy. With deliberate motions, Andrew W.K. alternated between keyboard and center stage belting out his hits and occasionally soloing himself on either his pizza-shaped guitar or keyboards. After eight long years, it looks like we might be getting a new record in 2018.

With so much going on in the world, it’s good to know Andrew W.K. and his fans are ready to ask the truly difficult questions like “Do we have the fortitude and the resilience necessary to party in these most challenging of times”?
