It may have been an Irish celebration on Friday, but inside The Teragram Ballroom, it was all about Scottish band Teenage Fanclub in celebration of their 10th studio album Here. Los Angeles was the second stop on the band’s quick North American jaunt. The three singer-songwriters – lead guitarist Raymond McGinley, rhythm guitarist Norman Blake and bassist Gerard Love took us on a sweet, romantic journey with “The Concept,” “I Need Direction,” recent single “I’m in Love” and so much more.

On tour with Teenage Fanclub is Britta Phillips who may look and sound familiar. She plays bass in LUNA and is a member of Dean & Britta. They score films together, most notably Noah Baumbach’s “The Squid & The Whale.” Phillips has her own album out, Luck or Magic.
