The Bootleg Theatre was filled with an enthusiastic crowd for Paul Bergmann’s debut album release show. Bergmann performed his new LP Stars and Streams in its entirety with the accompaniment of a keyboardist. We gathered close to the stage throughout Bergmann’s intimate set and cheered for “Ocean Song” as the encore.

LA based singer/songwriter Matt Kivel preceded with a haunting performance that included songs from his latest album, “Janus” which was released February 2016 as well as an old song he stated had only been performed live one or two times prior. Kivel will release a double LP, “Fires on the Plain” on October 7th.

Dressed in a crisp white suit, long wig, dark glasses and branches which extended over his fingers, Bob Villain warmed up the crowd that had gathered. Villain played a captivating, yet short set, which included several covers, including Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games.”
