In the Red Records 25 years ago. A massive celebration happened at The Echo and Echoplex as we heard some of the best local punk/garage performances from bands spanning the existence of the label. Bands like The Gories, The Oblivians, Boss Hog (with Jon Spencer and Cristina Martinez), Kid Congo & The Pink Monkey Birds and Cheater Slicks. Bands that are making waves today, including Meatbodies, Wand and a special performance of Ty Segall and Mikal Cronin's 2009 collaboration Reverse Shark Attack and the debut performance from Segall’s new band GØGGS.
