The Echo was treated to a charming set by UK’s whimsical Oscar Scheller, AKA Oscar, ahead of his upcoming debut full-length, Cut and Paste. Oscar’s imposing frame donned a long jacket containing Mickey Mouse, SpongeBob SquarePants, and happy faces. A crown commemorating his birthday the day before sat squarely on Oscar’s head in order to continue the merry celebration. Songs like fuzzy rocker “Breaking My Phone” segued nicely into the effervescent bounce of single “Sometimes.” At only 30 minutes, the set no doubt left everyone wanting more from the rising indie pop singer/songwriter.

Colleen Green debuted a few new songs live for the first time ahead of a new EP to be released shortly.

Vulkano opened up the night with a dark, pop punk sound. Shrouded in mysterious fog, the Swedish duo now officially call Los Angeles home.
