into his interpretation of U2′s “With or Without You.” Kishi Bashi was tongue-in-cheek all night at the Troubadour, but his music was serious and intense. He looped and layered the crowd into a total frenzy. Friends Elizabeth Ziman (Elizabeth and the Catapult) and Mike Savino (Tall Tall Trees), another loop pedal master, accompanied him on stage. Savino as Tall Tall Trees opened the night.
