“We haven’t played a note yet, so we could be terrible.” Nigel Godrich quickly mentioned this to the crowd as ultraísta took the stage at The Echoplex. Radiohead fans and the curious were lined up early to catch the US live debut of the group formed by producer Godrich, drummer Joey Waronker (Atoms for Peace, REM, Beck) and London vocalist Laura Bettinson. The short, 8-song set brought a mix of electronica, afrobeats and visuals to heighten the senses.
