Warren Ellis is part shaman, part matador, part wild west snake oil salesman. He tortured his violin through extended landscapes of 3/4 and drove the room to consistently ecstatic places. Some of the song descriptions were as long as a normal song. Incredible improvises stories about nothing and everything. This is a monster, a savior, a hero. More alive than you and me.
