Pacing with nervous energy between his mic, guitars, and over to the piano, Kristian Matsson’s slim figure on stage made the entire Wiltern Theatre appear enormous. However, The Tallest Man on Earth filled the venue with his powerful vocals and witty banter, creating an intimate atmosphere for the seated audience. As a few yelps made it to the stage, Matsson commented on them with his quick wit and humor. Many tunes were performed from the Swedish folk artist’s latest There’s No Leaving Now which was just released on the 11th. As the set came to a close, chairs were not necessary for the warm standing ovation from the crowd. Photos by Andrew Hanson.
