Although no strangers to playing around town over the past few years, Delta Spirit’s relentless touring has helped it build a buzz that the band is now headlining and selling out shows. Friday was no exception.
Opening the night were surf-rock Tijuana Panthers, who barreled through song after song with fuzzy aplomb. Although only performing for a mere 20 minutes, the band managed to pack in volumes of energy and fun.
Delta Spirit started their set with “Empty House,” the title track of their latest, self-titled album, and then quickly took the audience on a journey with “White Table” and “Strange Vine” from their previous musical releases. Photos by Leslie Kalohi.
