While most L.A. music lovers were at SXSW, the rest of us were at the re-scheduled DEVO show at Club Nokia! As they did at Coachella 2010, the new wave/post punk forward thinking De-volution gave a solid show complete with their hits, “Whip It,” “Satisfaction” “Mongoloid,” “Freedom of Choice,” “Girl U Want” (this is what you get when a band has been around a little while), including some tunes from their latest Something for Everybody. Closing with “Beautiful World,” Booji boy told the audience that Godzilla could save us if he came to L.A. and ripped the roof off of Club Nokia. “It’s a beautiful world for you. It’s not for me.” Photos by Debi Del Grande
