What this city direly needs, a band from Scotland delivered to the Troubadour. Fresh from picking up their NME award for Best Live Act (beating out Arcade Fire and Muse), Biffy Clyro (who are massive in Britain) performed an intimate yet sold-out show. The audience consisted mostly of fans on holiday from England and Scotland who sang every word to every song and chanted “Mon The Biff” many times before it started. The energy from the shirtless and sweaty band consisting of Simon Neil (vox, 10,000 Fenders, perfect frontman), James Johnston (bass, less tats than Neil, but still bad-ass) and Ben Johnston (drums, vox, James’ twin) and the enthusiastic crowd made for a perfect night.
