Bear in Heaven, on their second trip to LA, sold out the Echo on July 27th. Their powerful exuberance is contagious, their happy confidence and warmth fills the room. Openers Beach Fossils, sounding a bit like early Abe Vigoda, rode in on gobs of bloggy hype but put on a sincere and sweet show and did not disappoint.
