This was an eclectic night of music with bright and beautiful ambient sounds. Fantasticas Bastidas never cease to amaze me! Not only are they three of the coolest people to kick it with, but I sincerely enjoy their music and energy on an entire different level. They had Michael Nhat perform a a song with them, which put the bona-fide stamp on the night. Michael Nhat is my new favorite person/performance artist. Every time I see him he has something new to accompany his already captivating sound. His visual performances are something to be experienced. Faun Becomes Woman—an all-female three-piece—captivated the smoked filled Echo with their multi-instrumental set, creating a utopia of sound.

We used to play with Bastidas from time to time…they fucking rock. My band is having a reunion-ish type show tomorrow night and i am 6 months pregnant. I will be rolling around on stage like a screaming pregnant banshee and I would just love it if you could come write us a review. It would make my unborn baby’s birthday. Pretty please?
