The Allah Las are one of my favorite bands of their kind. I have known these guys since the beginning and have seen them grow into a serious band. With songs like “Catamaran” and “Did She Smile”, they keep the ladies dancing and the dudes happy. Young Prisms from San Francisco were pretty amazing; they were fun to dance to and fun to watch. At the end of their set they invited everyone to plug in and play along with their last song. And finally, I really like seeing Dirt Dress at venues like The Smell, where the audience and the performers are at the same level (both physically and figuratively). Their set up is minimal and yet the instruments, these little Fender Amps, tiny guitars, and a three piece drum, produce such great sound. It was an all around great show.
