Polymathic L.A. producer Swarvy plays everything, tries everything and does everything—his productions for any number of local and national artists are always worth a listen, and now he has a new album and a new two-in-one video to go with it. Premiering here is the back-to-back combo of the sophisticated and jazzy “Pocus” featuring Zeroh and the sleek and soulful “Do What I Do” featuring Versis—both delivering effortlessly effective performances—with interconnected visuals by co-director (and longtime L.A. RECORD contributor) Theo Jemison, who somehow captures the perfect balance of street-level reality and limitless blue-sky ambition. Both tracks are out now on Swarvy’s new Anti-Anxiety album, available digitally and physically from Paxico Records. Swarvy will be performing with Mark de Clive-Lowe at the Levitt Pavilion in MacArthur Park on Fri., Aug. 24, and you can keep an eye on his future work—there will surely be a lot!—here.
