March 3rd, 2017 | News

Agit-punk provocateurs extraordinaire Pussy Riot have pretty much been through it all—including a term in the gulag—and now they’ve created a searing punk-theatre production of Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina’s novel Revolution, not coincidentally scheduled exactly 100 years after the Russian Revolution of 1917. This Revolution is a multimedia event featuring Alyokhina, Belarus Free Theater’s Kiryl Kanstantsinau, crushing Russian experimental band AWOTT—Asian Women On The Telephone—and VJ Vasily Bogatov, as well as video footage by Pussy Riot’s Taisia Krugovykh and video art by Katya Sсheglova. This show at the Fonda on Sun., Mar. 12, is one of only a few warm-up performances of Revolution on the way to SXSW—want to enter to win tickets? Just email us at rsvp@larecord.com subj RIOT and we’ll pick winners at random day before the show! (Include your full name, and you must be 18+ to enter!)
