Psych band Feeding People come from Orange County and figured out the sound between Shocking Blue and Blue Cheer, but probably the first person who ever told us about them ever was Chris Alfaro of Santa Ana’s awesome Free The Robots. And now Chris and esteemed cohort Phil Nisco release this hauntological—is that the word? When it sounds like they were into The Wicker Man (not the Nick Cage one, sorry) and the BBC Radiophonics lab?—remix of Feeding People’s “Island Universe.” Marvel at the unexpected revelations by listening to the original here, which is from the upcoming Feeding People full-length on Innovative Leisure produced by Hanni (El Khatib) and Jonny (Bell of Crystal Antlers).
